Hendrik Schutz, MD

Hendrik is originally from Germany where he went to the University of Tuebingen for medical school. He trained as an internist and rheumatologist before he came to the University of Iowa for a fellowship in Infectious Diseases and decided to stay afterwards. He plans to become a hospitalist after his chief year.

Hendrik is married and has two sons, 7 and 9 years old. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, his sons’ soccer and baseball games, classical music and modern art.
