Jessica Cyr, MD

Jess grew up in Mount Vernon, Iowa. She attended Grinnell College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish in 2004. After college, she spent two years teaching bilingual and ESL programming to elementary aged students in underserved communities in New York and Washington, D.C. through Teach for America. She returned to Iowa to attend medical school and then complete Internal Medicine residency at the University of Iowa.
She met her husband, Tony in medical school, who is finishing his MD/PhD this year. They had their first child, Henry, in June 2013. In her free time she enjoys running, cross-fit, trips to the dog park, and spending time with her new son.
She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the residency program as a chief resident this year.
